Walloon Farm

We arrived at the Cape Town International airport last Sunday, August 7th, and drove about 20 minutes to the village of Constantia where we had rented a home for our stay in Cape Town. The home, namd "Walloon Farm", is an original, historic Cape Dutch property, originally built circa 1871. The property comes with our very own butler, Victor, who prepares breakfast every morning, straightens up while we are off on our daily adventures and takes beautiful care of the gardens and grounds. Each of the bedrooms is more fantastic than the next and they all boast spectacular bathrooms with walk in shower stalls, gilded mirrors, and ornate fixtures. We have all loved staying here. Josh has been staying in the Stellenboch Suite - the biggest and fanciest room in the whole house. We think he's going to have the hardest time readjusting to life without a butler and a 600 sq ft bedroom!

We leave tomorrow afternoon for our journey home to Boston. Assuming all goes as planned, we'll arrive back home late Tuesday night. We'll continue to blog about our wonderful adventures in and around Cape Town so that we can share many more of our vacation pictures & stories.
